The truth about women and chocolate

Most cocoa workers live below the poverty line of $ 2 per day. Yet the companies that make your favorite chocolate bars are not doing much to support the women who grow and pick cocoa for them.

Companies are happy to put women front and center in their advertising but not in their supply chains.

Go Behind the Brands

First-Ever Fair Trade Certification for Wild-Collected Cocoa

Through the Fair Wild Certification program of Institute for Marketecolocy (IMO), the first-ever Fair Trade certification was given for wild-collected cocoa in November 2012.
